Located in a small Western North Carolina Village that calls itself "Eastern America's Highest Town," Charter Hills Chalet, is a comfortable vacation home that is enjoyable every season of the year. From the cool, crisp spring to the "no air conditioning needed" summer right into the colorful, cool fall ending in the magnificent winter, Charter Hills Chalet on Beech Mountain is the perfect place to plan your vacation.
At an amazing elevation soaring 5,505 feet above sea level Beech Mountain offers a number of recreational opportunities including: golf, tennis, swimming, hiking, fishing and excellent skiing in the winter.
The chalet-style house has comfortable furnishings that reflect the owners' appreciation for Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and the Appalachian mountain area. From the spacious front deck with a views of the ski slopes you enter the great room which features a large gas log fireplace with a two story stone chimney and an entertainment center with cable TV, VCR and stereo. Adjacent to the great room is a well-equipped, dine-in kitchen that includes a dishwasher, washing machine and clothes dryer.
The house sleeps nine in three bedrooms and a loft. The house has three bathrooms. The first and second bedrooms, one holding a queen bed and the other a double, are connected by a full bath with both tub and shower capabilities. The third bedroom consists of two twin beds and has a private full bath, also with tub and shower capabilities. The loft has three single beds and has a private full bath, with only tub/ no shower capabilities.
